Tesco is also going all out with its Finest Valentine's Dinner for Two, available exclusively with Clubcard. Sainsbury's has over twenty-five products in the range to choose from, and Waitrose says its great value £20 Valentine's Dine-In offers more choice than ever before.

Customers can choose from a selection of starters, mains, sides, desserts, and wines from the store's The Best range. Choices include smoked salmon verrines, tempura prawns, scotch eggs, Mediterranean antipasti, a chicken parfait with a pink peppercorn and champagne glaze, and a camembert tear and share bread.

Mains include a lightly smoked Scottish salmon with pink peppercorn butter, beef en croute, pork fillet wrapped in prosciutto, slow-cooked lamb shanks with Chianti red wine and rosemary, chicken parmigiana, 30-day matured rump steaks, and mac and cheese.

Sides include chunky chips cooked three times, a rich parmesan and truffle mash, mixed green veggies, creamy dauphinoise, cauliflower cheese, ciabatta sticks, and carrots covered in acacia honey butter. For dessert, customers can choose from raspberry profiteroles, black forest, lemon and zillionaire cheesecakes, raspberry panna cotta pots, and chocolate cakes.
